Default Need help, bar pin question.

I am trying to install jks bar pin eliminators. The bar pin blocks are 1" thick. You are supposed to mount this straight to the frame, problem is I have a 2 1/2" extension bracket for the rear shocks mounted that came with the tera 2.5 " coil lift. should I mount bar pin to ext. bracket making the top of my shock 3 1/2" from frame. Or, take the ext. bracket off and mount bar pin straight to the frame, which would drop top of shock 1"?

Does this make sense?

Either way lift will not be effected but shock will be compressed more if I have both ext. and bar pin mounted.

Would it hurt the shock to be this compressed all the time?

Need help. Thanks.

I wouldn't think so but your extension will be a little more. Meaning your coils could possibly come out of their mounts?

Since the ext. bracket is already there, I am going to try placing the bar pin under that. Now its a trip to Lowes for longer bolts. One mod leads to another doesn't it.

As anyone else that has installed bar pin eliminators damaged the bushing?
