I have a 2012 rubi and was thinking about a bb but ended up with the teraflex 2.5" coil lift and 5100s instead. I only had around 4k on the jeep when I swapped out the stock springs for the lift. I am very happy with the ride after 1000 miles so far. I am running nitto grapplers on stock wheels with 1.5" spacers. Havnt been offroad yet but have no issues with rubbing on the street or anything. I thought while I would be doing all the work to add in spacers why not just get coils the first time around and do it right.

here it was with stock tires

and with the 35s

Hinrich, Your Jeep looks great and thats the look and stance im looking for, thanks for the photo. Did you notice a better ride difference from the stock Rubi setup? Any problems encountered with the install or afterwrds? How are the 35" on the stock Rubi rims?

I feel like the ride is slightly better but basically felt the same with the stock tires. I have yet to air down or be offroad with the 35s, but I love them on the stock wheels. I do plan to upgrade to something else once funds are available again but that will be to get beadlocks and then remount the stock tires back onto the stock wheels since they only have 4500 miles on them. Install was very easy for the most part, only took about 4 hours or less. No problems after 1000 miles on the new suspension.

Is there a difference really in installing a coil lift vs just adding spacers with shock extensions and keeping the stock Rubi springs and shocks which are suppose to be very good. Can someone explain what the difference or limitations on why the coil setup would be better. Thanks

Has anybody kept the stock springs and shocks on their Rubi and just added the spacers and shock extensions. Will the shock extensions hold up over the long run? Any advice would be appreciated in helping make a decision.
