Because you have a manual transmission, You can drop it down a gear. that said your problem is that engine,. I would also look at getting more power. A mix of CAI, free Flow exhaust and a programer will net you 30 Hp if you are lucky.

Honestly there is no real good solution. Regearing will help, but in the end, that 3.8 L is a turd in the Mountains.
