EVO cantilever system doesn't allow any room for a tailpipe out the rear of the vehicle. It would have to exit the side of the Jeep in front of the rear tire.

I think you might be wrong about that. I remember seeing SLC (I think) cut holes in the EVO cantilever skid so exhaust could be run out the back.

I have that setup and I don't see anyway that you can make room for a tailpipe and I don't have the skid. The skid isn't the problem it's the whole cantilever setup that takes up all the room for a tailpipe.

I can't find the pic yet, but here is a link and a pic to the exhaust terminating right by the skid.

Good find.

Must be a lot of bends in that tailpipe. In the first picture it shows the tailpipe wrapped in header wrap for heat issues it looks like to me.
It may also be because I have the double throw down version with the two shocks per side that ate up all the room for me.

Back on topic though if you could manage a tailpipe out the side or back it would really help alleviate the noise. I know that my Hemi Jeep with a tailpipe you can hold a conversation in and the Hemi Jeep with just a down spout and no tailpipe you will find it hard to talk to each other.

You are right about the header tape. If you look at that thread there is a good pic from underneath of the exhaust. It will give you a feel for the path of the exhaust.

That is the difference. Mine has dual shocks per side which puts a shock right where their tailpipe comes out at. That and the fact that they are using dual 2 or 2 1/2 inch pipes. Mine has single 3" exhaust after the y pipe. I wish I could do that to mine.
