Default my sons built me a new bumper.. you like:-)?

I designed it, how I wanted it to look, and they built it for,, my wife:-) the Jeep is actually hers:-)... And yes, she approved the design,,

The large round light is a spot, the small round is a flood, and the bar is flood horizontal pattern light, the clevis is a solid machined bar that goes directly into the frame, and the winch in sunk deep into the center bumper with with heavy-duty aftermarket Roller Fairlead built in behind the number as well.. the light pattern wit all on is amazing,,, the DC on the side is my sons,, Danny and Chris

DC Designs... cars are a hobby of ours.. ,,, but not our day jobs///

What do you guys think of our Hemi Jeep's bumper??

I think it's amazing that you designed and your sons built that bumper. The quality of fab looks really good, and the hidden roller fair lead is a nice touch. The whole thing is definitely unique and functional which I applaud!

That said the asymmetry of it really disturbs something in me, lol. It just makes me feel uncomfortable looking at it, not that it's ugly it just looks too unconventional for me.

I'm a conformist. I like symmetry. If there is a shackle on one side. There must be one on the other. I'm also a fan of the Navy seal saying "2 is 1 and 1 is none". Meaning you should always have a backup for everything.

Overall I like the bumper

Your statement is kind of ironic and reminded me of a show I just watched. I was just watching a show on Netflix yesterday. I think it was Mysteries at the Museum where they showed this contraption that was designed by the make-up artist Max Factor. It kind of looked like a torture device which got placed around someone's head with a bunch of screws that screwed in towards the person's face. Well, come to find out, this device was used to measure the symmetry of a person's face because studies have been done that show the more symmetrical a person's face is, the more people perceive the face as being more beautiful. So Max Factor would use this device to measure the symmetry of a movie star's face and then use those measurements to apply make-up and shadowing to make the movie star's face appear to look more symmetrical on screen......Thus, more perceived beauty.

So with that being said, there seems to be something in all of us that prefers symmetry and that likely explains the reasons the asymmetry of the bumper kind of disturbs something inside of you.

That aside, that is a really nice bumper.....but it would be even better if it maintained symmetry.

I think it's pretty cool. The asymmetry kinda bugs me too, but its cool knowing that yours is the only one out there. Most people are too OCD to follow your lead. But in this case, 2 of everything would be beyond overkill. Nice.

It is simply unique! A great job at designing and fabing. The light set up and single shackle mount concept is also unique. Probably one of the nicer bumpers I've seen. Be PROUD!
