The 2014 Rubicons have 4.10 as the only gearing option, but it looks like the 2013 model had the 4.10 as an option.

This is not accurate. Our 2014 JKUR X package has 3.73 gearing.

The 4:1 transfer case ratio is separate from the 4.10 diffy ratio (or whatever you might have). The transfer case ratio applies only in 4WD low. In 2WD and 4WD high, the transfer case gear ratio is the same.

oh ok but why wouldn't it be the 4.1 ratio in 4 high also it does have to go through the TC also right?

I bought the 2014 base model sport c without tow package. The only option on it was the auto trans. The dealer info said it had 3.21 gears so I bought a dif cover(3.21 has a smaller cover than other gearing) and brought it all in to get it regeared as I just put 35s on(went with 4.88 and love it) when I picked it up they gave me the dif cover back and told me to return it because the jeep had 3.73s! They said the tag said 3.21 but they checked the ring and it wasn't(plus the other cover worked) . And on top of this I was planing on putting rubi springs in but the jeep has 19/60 springs in it already. I'm happy/concerned/confused with jeeps inconsistency.

Weird - nothing mentioned about that on the Jeep website and when you go to build one out the only gearing option for the Rubicon X is 4.10 gears. As a matter of fact, when you view the detailed comparisons between the models, the only gearing available for the Rubi is 4.10.

I know man me too what I always thought to be true isn't with the gears but did your window sticker say 3.21 as the ratio I'm assuming you bought brand new? If it does and yours was 3.73 my world just got more confusing also
