My Jeeping begins
Hi all, first time posting on here and hopefully I get some good advice.
I recently started 'modding' my 2011 JK Sport and really want to get the tires and suspension/steering out of the way.
All I want is your thoughts on this setup I could possibly buy or rather if I have missed anything. (please dont bring the devil on me, im a tight ass)
As for the '''lift''', I have chosen the 3" MotoFab full lift (spring spacer lol) as you could call 'the base'.
When looking through the forums I saw that with this lift, I would need to replace the track bar (preferably adjustable) and at least the front and rear control arms. I also am getting rear sway bar links for the rear, so that they may be used for the front. What I was wondering was which control arms I would have to replace (I have seen so many different forums that I have forgotten (rear lower or upper, front upper or lower)) and also whether I could delay the track bar (front) for a few more weeks after getting the lift as I have seen this is absolutely possible, just is better to have one (especially on trails). One more nag about the track bar was whether the relocation bracket was necessary and useful for the rear so I could buy it with the front adjustable one.
Thats a lot of info and many questions in questions but any answer is appreciated (probably haha) for any of those.
Cheers from down underrr!

Front arms/Caster - You can go with either upper or lower arms, but lower arms are the better choice. Or, since you are obviously thinking about budget, just grab a set of CA Brackets (AEV, Rancho, whoever). They have the bonus of flattening the angles on the control arms, as well as raising the caster.
Rear arms - Wait until the lift is installed, then check the driveshaft angle and how close the rear tires are to the pinch seam/rails. You may decide that you don't need them. If you do want them, a single set will rotate the axle to help with the pinion/driveshaft angles, the second set will be used if you want to move the entire axle backward in the wheel wells.
Front Trackbar - The axle will be off-center, but you can easily wait for a few weeks to add this trackbar. (Do Not add a bracket, unless you are going tall enough to be thinking about a draglink flip/high steer/drop pitman)
Rear Trackbar - start with a decent raised bracket instead of adj trackbar. This will center the axle (not perfect, but in the ballpark), while also helping with the roll-center. You can add an adj trackbar later if you want.
Are bumpstops on your list?
Did you check the warranty? The last paragraph on the instructions, to me, sounds like legal-ese for: tough luck, we won't cover anything.

Cheers for the reply.
As for the front control arms: I was looking at the front lowers, I am considering the AEV Bracket kit. For $100 AUD more, I could just buy a set of TeraFlex front lowers although obviously the uppers won't be looked at.
For the rear: I have been looking through 'complete' kits for 3" inch lift which have the just the lower arms and I think I might just do that. Looking at the TeraFlex lower sport arms. Doesnt break the bank either.
Front track bar: Looking at getting the Synergy MFG front track bar (adjustable)
Rear track bar: not looking at a whole bar just yet but still skimming through brackets. Any recommendations?
Bump stops: Forgot to mention them haha. No clue about them. I am running just under 32" tires.
Sway bar links: Got them covered
Steering Stabilizer: One of the Rough Country single shock ones.
Looking good I think. Just need those few things to get help on . Cheers again!

I would run a 2" spacer for fewer issues since you are only running 32" tires. Your 10 year old driveshafts will like 2" more then 3". If you can weld this is a good rear track bar bracket. https://www.barnes4wd.com/Jeep-Wrang...et_p_1187.html
I see that you are a cheap ass with your direction but it will likely be that you will end up spending way more in the end vs doing it right up front. I would recommend against fixed length control arms as well as the jeep will likely change height over time and you won't have adjustability

The legend Dirtman has arrived with some knowledge haha
I was considering downgrading to a 2.5" spacer lift as it would not require as many additional mods straight up but saw i guess you could say an "incomplete" lift which could be a better choice than spacers. Being in Australia, my choices are slightly limited but the TeraFlex 2.5" Lift with just springs looks like a good load. Its $687 AUD and comes with the rear sway bar links (didnt come with motofab spacer), and a rear track bar bracket (didnt either) and also bump stops (also didnt come with motofab). Starting to dislike the motofab spacer lift more now I think of it and I could buy an easily expandable proper lift like this TeraFlex one. Here is a link https://www.sbroffroad.com.au/Suspen...K-2-5-Lift-Kit
What else would I need to purchase for a 2.5" lift? In the near future, I will purchase shocks also.
Cheers mate!
