Default My first tyre mod

I'm fast wearing out the stock tyres (Bridgestone) on the JK and will soon be in the market for a new set. I'm relatively new to off roading and so am looking for a little advice from the more experienced members regarding tyre choice. I want a good set of AT tyres which provide better off road grip and more resistence to bruising and staking. I don't want to lose too much on road performance as my wife also drives it, but I don't mind more road noise and lower mpg. What would be a good all rounder. I will soon be adding a 2" lift so could possibly look at an increase in size which will give me a little more clearance under the diffs. What would be a good size to consider and what are the benefits and associated problems, ie do the benefits outweigh the negatives? I know it would obviously have a benefit in terms of off road ability but are there any members out there that have gone bigger then regreted it? Thanks in advance for any advice. (my JK is Australian spec - "Sport" which is I think equivalent to the Sahara)
