Default My first Jeep needs wheels and tires

Ive decided to get myself a jeep! On friday ill be placing my order on a 2007 Wrangler Sahara in silver with the freedom top. First thing i want to do is put on a small lift so i dont have to change to much, like 2 inches, and some new rims and tires. What do you guys suggest for someone just starting out? Im thinking i can afford something mid range, nothing too serious will be needed, atleast now :toung: .

Right now im really liking these wheels...

Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys Series 8089 Black Powder Coated Finish:
18x9, 5 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern; Backspace = 4.75 in.; Hub Centric = No; Max Load = 2200lbs; Offset = -6mm; Finish = Gloss Black

I know they are 5.5 but besides needing a spacer do you see anything else about them that wont fit? Im thinking 35 inch tires.

Any other suggestions as far as tires and lifts are welcome.

For those rims, see Mr. Piginajeep, i am pretty sure he runs those, but i dunno offhand what size.

Why not just go and get the right bolt pattern here: Link

as far as lift/tires... I am still searching that out myself!

oh, btw, welcome to the site.

That setup will work with a lift. I would say that 2.5"-3" lift will do well, 2" might be alittle tight with 35"s. Personally I am running 2.5" w/33" tires and I can tell that 35's would work with it. I used the Skyjacker 2.5" lift and am very happy with it. It was a prety straight fwd install, just needed an aligment afterwards.

Good luck!

Yup Mine are 17's... You might wanna look at tire prices with a 18" rim
Its on alot of flyers and Magazine ads lately... I seen lastnight they are really pushing the extreme MT's with a deal...

I know the correct bull pattern is on 4wd.com.

You might as well go 3" so nothings to tight...

Yes, they do. Good choice.

I like the Mickey Thompson Classic 2's. I have had my eye on them for along time. I saw a silver '06 with these on it, and they really looked awesome.
However... I am starting to be swayed to the dark side by all these ProComp dark wheels that keep showing up.

I think those'd look really sweet on Silver
