The Tips are trash...
I bought mine in November last year and within 2 weeks....the close up photo is the end result. Grated we had some rain then but come on!
Gibsons Warranty does not cover any corrosion/rust (surface or penetration) for their exhaust systems unless they are the stainless ones (then they cover penetration/rust through but not surface). If I knew this when I bought them I would've re-thought my purchase and stuck with the Magnaflow route. I should've known to have done my homework before investing as much as I did.
On the good side, they do sound fantastic.

Oh well! It still sounds great though...right?
Sand it. Paint it with bed liner. It will look BA all flat black.

UPDATE From Gibson Performance Exhaust - Metal Mulisha Jeep system
I just received an email from Mike @ Gibson Exhausts Warranty Division. I've attached an excerpt below:
"The Metal Mulisha tips are ceramic coated, not painted. Unfortunately, when we first started building the Metal Mulisha exhaust systems, the company that was coating the tips was not up to par and it was not until a few months later that we noticed it was an issue. We have made a couple changes with our coating and the tip to remedy this issue. Your tips are 100% under warranty and they will be for as long as you own the exhaust system as long as you have your proof of purchase. If you are on the internet forums for the jeep and people are having the same issue, please have them give us a call so we can also take care of them. "
You can find their warranty contact info on their website if you're experiencing the same issue.
This makes me very happy and now I wish I squacked a little louder and earlier!
Gibson is going as far as sending me replacement exhaust tips that are "properly coated".
I guess when I receive my new tips, I'll post an update on their durability. I pray these are better than the ones I have right now!
