Default Mulisha Exhaust

I bought the Metal Mulisha Exhaust from Gibson less than a month ago. Sounds good, but the tips which kinda make the exhaust stand out are already rusting!!! I spent a lot of money on this junk. Anyone else on here have this exhaust with the same problem?

The problem seems to be the lip on the end of the exhaust tip which allows water to pool there causing the rust. There is no way to avoid it unless you somehow don't allow water to sit in them, but most peoples' jeep sits overnight in the rain just like mine.

I'm ready to just take the damn things off. The pipes are gonna be all scratched from sliding them on, and because its black, but it will look better than the rusted crap that's on there now.

That's ok, just curious to see if anyone else is having the same issue. Hope your neighbor has better luck than me.

That' s not a bad idea, although you shouldn't have to do that. Also, it's rusting around the mulisha emblems as well. If i can figure out how to post pictures i will. The muffler itself still looks brand new. The problem seems to only be with the tips which is the selling point for the exhaust. I would just buy a regular Gibson dual exit and save yourself a lot of money and aggravation, but that's your choice. You are basically paying extra for the mulisha tips which are the worst part of the product. Same exhaust, just painted black. Don't get me wrong, it sounds good, and the black looks bad ass, but i regret it.

Put some JB weld in the rolled over part or something like that that won't let it catch it and set in there..
