Yeah, im not gonna cut any cats off it. Not for any reason aside from I just don't really want to.
What inlet did you guys who switched out just the mufflers use, center or offset? Im gonna do the same with the flowmaster, just center it in stock location and try to get it tucked up as much as possible.

When I got my super 44 off road I mounted the muffler as high as I could and cut my pipe off at an angle right before the frame to avoid smashing it. It keeps the exhaust moving out and keeps you from pinching it closed which I did to the stock muffler.

It's not an issue only a preference. There is a ton of space to work with because the flowmaster is about 1/4 the size of the stock muffler. Mine is offset inlet and centered outlet.

Flowmaster now make's a muffler that is derect bolt in, here is the info--
Part # 817437, Flowmaster Force II Axle-Back system for 2007-2009 Jeep Wrangler JK's is designed to replace the original transverse muffler located behind the rear axle using factory connections. Constructed in 409S Stainless Steel, the system is mandrel bent for maximum performance and features a Super 50-Series (SUV) muffler.
