Muffler Interference with Evap Can?
So if I want to cut out my exhaust line short and do a new muffler somewhere under the driver seat (like WAYALIF or the MBRP
Exhaust system), do I need to be worried about my Evap Canister? Will the new muffler location cause heating issues? Should I relocate?
Thanks

I'm not sure if you need to relocate, but I think you should,(if you are planning on doing any off-roading) it's not hard, ,I relocated mine to above the rear axle and am debating on putting my muffler under the Jeep too. I kinda like where the stock location of the muffler is though, it is well protected, I've done some rock crawling and have not scathed the muffler yet, where as if it were under the Jeep, it would have been for sure crushed. The only reason I would move it(the muffler) is for esthitcs. Quite frankly, I'm not a 100% sure if there are any other benefits for relocating the muffler to the middle underside of the Jeep? I'm sure someone will pipe up.

I have already ripped my stock muffler clean off (and out) on a rock, put in a Flowmaster 40 Axle Back, pulled it off twice and dented the thing into pancake shape (even though it was already a lower (smaller) profile than stock) tired of putting the hot muffler in the trunk! haha want to relocate muffler (and get something a little louder). Thanks for the quick response though! Probably going to relocate Evap. either way.

I run the dynomax rock Krawler muffler that I welded in line. I also have a rugged ridge evap canister skid plate. Muffler is same place as the cat back system places it and WOL runs. No issues at all.
