Default Mounting jerry cans

So i thought id kill 2 birds with one stone when im doing this. I've been trying to figure out how to mount jerry cans on my jeep without having to get a new rear bumper. Also I've been looking for a little more storage for when i go camping & everything. So what im going to do is buy a hitch cargo rack that has a storage position so its sitting vertical then im going to mount my jerry cans on the inside of the cargo rack & either get mounts for the can or just strap the 2 cans to the rack. I think it should work pretty well.

How well those hitch cargo racks work? Looking at them does not inspire me much confidence, mostly going on trails.
If you do not want a new bumper you can always get that or-fab carrier and install a basket on a cargo rack on top of your Jeep. Seems a lot safer and allow to carry more stuff.
Just a thought. This is the route I took. ;-)

I was looking at the over tire racks with the can mounts, but I really don't wanna put 70+ lbs of weight on the tailgate. I've already got 65 lbs in just the tire alone. So I figure ill keep the weight on hitch & fold it up if im doing any heavy offloading.
