Default Mounting 33 inch spare

Know I can just swap it out but before I waste a time doing that I figure someone has the answer to this simple question I upgraded my tires to 33x10.5 I want to put on the spare but I have read that nothing more than a 32 inch tire, so do I need a relocation bracket and will my tailgate handle the extra size tire ?????

I've been running a 285/75/16 (33") on my stock carrier with no issue for 2 years. I wouldn't try anything bigger.

No. Just removed stock tire and mounted new wheel.

I have a 33x12.5x15 on my spare mount. Tire and alloy wheel combo is lighter than stock so I have been fine so far.

MBRP makes a good reinforcement bracket kit, it's worth getting just as a precaution. I have it and my spare is at 82 lbs on the stock carrier with no problems.

34" fits fine on stock mount. might have to either lengthen or shorten the rubber bumpers depending on rim backspacing.
