So I finally have some money to throw into my jeep and have been searching for lift kits, etc. for some time now. I want to fit 35/12.5/R17 BFG KM2s.
Although I want to do a lift for cheap, I do still want quality products and I plan on wheeling every now and again, but for the most part my Jeep is a daily driver. I generally think I want 3" of lift, but some 2.5" kits work as well, so I am not sure what to do. I'm kind of torn between the Rough Country 2.5", Zone 3", TeraFlex 3", Full Traction 3" Economy, and the SkyJacker 3.5"
I have an 07 2 dr with a 6 speed. I want to avoid driveline issues at first, because I know i may want to get new driveshafts and regear at a later time.
I am not sure if I am going to get adjustable track bars right away or see how the kits function at first. Also, I may want to upgrade the control arms in the future... This is part of the reason I like TeraFlex so much, because you can buy everything over time and I know their quality is great.
HELP ME DECIDE. Thanks

I was in the same boat as you. I wheel every now and then, but main use is as a daily driver. I went with the Teraflex 2.5 Budget Boost with shocks. I felt that going with larger, stronger shocks was the best way to go, instead of the shock extenders. The kit was around $400 including the shocks.
I am running ProComp 17x9's and ProComp 35x12.50.17 tires. Here is a pic of how much lift I got, including the extra weight from steel bumpers and a winch

I did the TF 2.5" BB with shocks, also. I am very, very happy with it. It gives it enough for 35" tires but I am running a 34" tire for gas mileage. I will go to 35's when I go through these tires.
The install was very easy and done in about two and a half hours.
I drive about 110 miles a day. The ride is jsut about the same as stock and my fuel economy was not affected too badly. As a daily driver I highly recommend this lift.
For the money I really don't think you can beat it.

I got the Zone 3 in. I think it was around $400 with shocks. I do not take it off-road, but it is made by the same people as BDS, so it should be good. I also run 33 13.5 mtz's, but have plenty of room for 35's. Install was very very easy, and great customer service. Well you asked and now have 3 different choices.....Not much help huh? ![Don't Know](https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/images/smilies/z0tdntknw.gif)

So I was also kind of focusing on TeraFlex, but more on the 3". Does the 2.5 provide enough room for 35s without rubbing? If I decide to go with the 2.5, which 2.5 is best? The 2.5 BB with TF shocks that uses the factory springs or the 2.5 with springs and adapters for the stock shocks? And if I were to spend the $650 or so for the 2.5 with springs and shocks, wouldn't it just be better to spend like $900 on the 3" kit?

I have TF 2.5" BB w/ new shocks. I had to get 1.5" wheel spacers for my stock wheels and tires. All in all, I paid around $650 for everything. I am planning on just getting 33's on my JK, that is why I elected to go for the BB.

The only reason I am kind of torn between the 3" and the 2.5" TF is because the 3" comes with more hardware, like bump stops and the rear tracbar relocation bracket. From what I understand when you lift the JK, the rear tracbar bracket is necessary as well as possibly an adjustable front tracbar.
