Default More tire/wheel questions!

I just installed OME HD 2" lift kit & shocks. I added new front & rear JKS trackbars. The ride is great (thanks David @ Northridge for your suggestions & great service)

I now have a couple more questions regarding the next step......new tires!

I am going with the Goodyear MTR's with Kevlar in the following size:

LT285/70R17D1

With the OME HD kit I just installed----

1) My stock wheels are the 17X7.5's---will the tires I am selecting above work OK on my stock wheels?

2) Will I need wheel spacers?

Thanks!

Those tires will be wider than stock I would assume. Maybe an inch or more of space might give you some more room

1. Yes. (but, some shops will not mount wide tires on narrow rims, check with yours)

2. It depends. You will be better off with spacers or new rims, but you can get by without. (if you rub, bring the steer stops in, trim, add bumpstops, cut the end off the link bolts, add a BL, etc)
