MOPAR Slush Guards

MOPAR Slush Guards
For those of you who were worried about the MOPAR Slush Gaurds breaking when going wheeling fear no more. I went out today for the first time after installing my front slush guards. I was going to take them off but thought why not put them to the test. They only cost me $30 after simply asking the parts guy if he would sell them to me less than MSRP.
These things stinking flex almost as much as my front axle. Take a look at the picture below you will see a big rock on he passenger side of the vehicle I went over this and it literally bent the slush guard to the rock rail. It snapped right back into place without any damage to the guard or the fender.
My rock rail on the other hand got pretty scratched up. That is the second time on the same damn rock.
These guards work great, stopping everything from hitting my body. If you want to prevent flinging junk onto your body. I recommend getting these guards.

Thanks, yeh I put them on the day after I had my jeep detailed, buffed and waxed and had to test them out. I drove through some mud in an alley in my neighborhood and not a spec of dirt was flung on the side of the jeep.
It was a little bit of a different story today but I was also driving through about 12in of water at some points. Although it did minimize the flingige very much, which is what I needed.

I have a black JK too and have both the front and back guards. They keep a lot of the crap off the side of the Jeep, they have been on almost 2 years and I haven't broken one yet. I did the install myself, they are very easy to put on and come with all the hardware needed. All you really need is a drill motor and a couple size bits and a screwdriver (may have been a torx bit), nothing special to installing them. There may be some photos in my profile of the black JK with them on.

I installed the front ones about a week ago and they are awsome. My black Jeep actually stays black driving up my 450 foot driveway! Thanks for the info. I planned on removing mine next time I go Jeepin but maybe I won't.
