Default Mopar Hood Lock?

Has anyone installed the Mopar Hood Lock? Here it is: http://www.quadratec.com/products/13103_110.htm

If you have, does it work well and consistently?

Thanks!

Craig

I have had it installed for a few months now. It sits perfectly centered in the grill and is tucked into the grill as well. It also is keyed to your current keys. No need to buy or have extra keys hanging off your key chain. It keeps the hood nice and tight so it eliminates the hood flutter from high speeds and wind. On my last wheelin trip (which was also my first in the rubicon) i went through some deep water holes and pushed quite a bit of water that came very high on the Jeep. Even went through one a little fast and submerged the hood briefly. No water, dirt, or mud in the lock. The cover does a really great job. I am very happy with it. Absolutely no problems. I can post pics later if you want to see it.

Had one on my 2008 for two years, and have one on my 2011. The mopar model is the best uses your jeeps key. Zero problems. You will need a large pop rivet tool to install.

They come as standard on UK JKs
On to my third.
Original got difficult to insert key / remove.
Levers inside may have shifted out of sync with key.
New one fitted lasted about 3 months.. same problem.
Third time lucky.
This one has been in about 2 years... keep it lubed if it starts to get a bit 'knoty'

I had to modify mine on my 12 auto
Too close to the condenser or oil cooler
Had to drill out the rivets and take off the rear guard

Could you post a link to a tool that could work? I've never seen one of these tools before and I'm about to order one of these.
