I still vote hemi all the way, makes about the same HP as a classic 440 motor, plus much lighter, direct swap in with a kit, oodles better on gas and the computer works right away with it.

Plus, why would you want to swap in a crappy old chev motor. the Jeep would want to break down every 10 mins. I have one in my suburban, not what I would have for my Jeep. I rather the 3.8 than any chev motor.

You can buy a gen 3 440:
Bouchillon Performance Engineering - BPE USA - Mopar 440 7.2L Gen 3 Crate Engine

But I dont think that is what the OP is referring to...

I was assuming classic 440 from a challenger or something.
