Default Modified Rubi Rails

So i just did an intro to welding course and have a few things that I want to try and do. One of those is make a set of add on rubi rails. I have a couple ideas for them already. I was thinking of making them look similar to the PJ ones, I would like them to be useful as a step, as well as have a solid top (at least in one area of the rail) in order to cut down on spray all over the doors.

so i know a bunch of you on here have done this show me what you've got and give me some more ideas! thanks,
