Default Moab bumper help!

So i have a 2013 jku and i recently came across a guy selling a moab bumper for 500 bucks.... Trick is this guy rear ended someone and the bumper looks like its had better days. My question is do the jk forum fellas and gals think it would be a wise idea to buy this 500 dollar bumper and try to repair it or go a different route. Some bumpers retail 500 700 that i like but ??? Idea???

There is no way I would think about that bumper. Not worth even $5.
