Default Mixing RK 2.5 and 3.5 Springs

Hey guys I'm a long term lurker. I have an 08 2 door currently running 18/59 springs with a Teraflex leveling kit. I recently purchased some 3.5 inch RK rear springs. I have an EBay rear bumper with tire carrier and removed the rear seat and consistently ride with my tools in the rear. With the setup I'm running just a bit nose high. I'm hoping that after I install the springs that they will settle in right at 3.5. Now my question is can I run some RK 2.5 springs up front. I like a little rake. Or will the difference be too much? Ps I already purchased/will be purchasing everything that is needed for a 3.5 inch lift beside driveshafts.

I think you will end up with more rake then you want, but it really depends on what you mean by tools. A few trail tools, or you a contractor that carries a LOT of heavy tools on a daily basis?

Not a contractor but always have around 75-100 pounds of misc tools. I was thinking that mixed in with the bumper and spare should weigh it down enough. And that's interesting about the overland system. 2.5 and 3.5 should work out then!

I actually like a little rake. when I am loaded I am level. I had 5 bfg ko2 in 34x10.5-17 tires on stock rubi rims in the back and it lowered it an inch.

Rk recommended mixing coils when I noticed my rear sat a little lower but your exact experience will differ. I opted to go with a 3/4" spacer so I know exactly how much it'll come up, though it does nothing for coil free length or additional load capacity.

Heres a question for you. Do you ever plan on additional weight up front?

Steel bumper?

Winch?

My jeep is pretty much perfectly level with 3.5" springs front and rear, and i have added additional weight front and rear. So if the 2.5" springs do indeed offer exactly 1" less lift, i bet you will be sitting right about where you want to be.

That is correct. This is both for the overlanding/expedition crowd and their many/heavy accessories. Without the luggage the vehicle will retain the factory rake.

Thanks guys!! Lots of info. I'm gonna go with the 2.5 up front. Worst case scenario I can put a spacer up front right?
