Default Misch BigBoy Seat Brackets

Long time lurker here.......anyone use the Misch BigBoy seat brackets? How are they. Leg room I am OK, but headroom is starting to get to me. I am 6'7" with a 34" inseam, driving a 2011 JKU Sahara. Slouching just to see more than 15 yards in front of me on the road is taking its toll on me. My eyes are just slightly above the top of the windshield glass. But I don't hit my head on the roll/sound bar unless its a serious bump. Any just curious as my search skills are apparently lacking...thanks!

I've not seen the big boy brackets for the Jk yet, but they were popular with the tj/lj group.

I'm 6'8". I didn't buy them because A) the price and B) they only slide the seat further back which puts my head directly under the sound bar that I already catch my head on occasionally and does nothing to lower the seat. I'm making my own brackets, $200 is stupid expensive for 2 steel bars with a couple of bends.

I hear that. I need to find another option. I can't make them myself. Not sure what a local guy might charge, haven't investigated that yet.

Usually your local guys are really reasonable. You may end up having to chop the stock brackets down and relocate them back. You shouldn't have any safety concerns since the welds are supposed to be stronger than the metal around them.

Keep us posted (both of you), I'm always curious where these topics go.
