Mirror relocation brackets.

I agree, if you look close it is just the shadow of the OEM mirror

Looks like in the pic posted above, that the door IS dented. Look just to the rear of the bracket...

Having the Warrior brackets I agree 100% with the remark written owner on that thread "Although it may look like it, I can assure you there is no dent on the door. The brackets dont come close to hitting the doors. If you leave the mirror in the bracket, the mirror will hit the door".
Yes, if you have the stock mirrors on the Warrior bracket AND leave the doors on (pointless, cos having the brackets is so you can take the doors off) then yes, the black plastic mirror surround does rub on the thin outside seam-edge of the door, but it will not dent. In the winter when doors are back on and side mirrors are in their original position on the door, the Warrior bracket does not rub on or dent any part of the door when wide open.
You choose which mirror relocation bracket you think best, I'm delighted with the Warrior brackets after the 2-min fix.

Warrior Relocation Brackets
Question fo all of you who have these brackets.... I purchased a set of these and they look like the mirror should slide down around the bracket but they dont.... Is this the way they are supposed to be? You would think that if this is correct that the Mfg would have installed a flat area on the top of the bracket that would seat the mirror a little more securely. I too have the issue with the mirrors being unusable when driving due to vibration. Watching the mount when the mirror is vibrating it apears that the area where the mirror mounts moves excessively. I was thinking about welding in a piece of square tubing in this area to see if it might help with the problem. Let me know any input you guys have with this issue. Thanks.

If you use Warrior Products Mirror Relocation Brackets on your JK, here's a way to stop the mirrors shaking & vibrating with a 2 minute fix. With the countless fitting and viewing-position problems of other manufacturer's brackets (see other threads), I.M.O the Warrior brackets with the fix below are the best option for legal no-doors wheelin' :
The stock mirrors relocate onto Warrior's brackets and vibrate at all speeds to the point of being near useless because the outer plastic mirror casing moves and isnt tight to the metal Warrior bracket (allowing vibration to travel to the mirror) so add a washer between them. A correctly sized nylon washer would work, but even simpler and better fix is to insert a strip of duct tape :
- fold a 4-inch length of black duct tape onto itself (sticky side in) so you finish with a black strip ½-inch wide by 4-inches long.
- curve into a circle, creating a washer, and put it between the metal Warrior bracket and the bottom edge of the black plastic mirror casing.
- when you tighten the Torx screw and pull down the JK's stock mirror into the Warrior bracket, the duct tape washer squeezes into the void (and out of sight), preventing the plastic surround from moving and SUBSTANTIALLY reducing the shaking & vibrating mirrors to a normal and expected movement.
ENJOY !!!

I agree, the mirror should slot tighter into the bracket, but here's the fix :

A lot better view than I expected.
on the 1/2 doors, they will hit the uppers, and not just barely. I can get in the Jeep OK, but you have to warn the passengers. I may move the mirrors back to the doors in the winter.

Follow up question - Are the mirrors supposed to slide down over the top portion of the brackets? If you can please look at the picture I posted of mine. Mine sit on top of the round part of the bracket and do not slide down on them at all.. Thanks again.

Although not essential, I now use longer 8mm bolts bght from local hardware store instead of using the stock Torx bolts, so I have more thread to tighten down on.

Been doing some research with Warrior and I showed them the pictures of my brackets which 4wd Parts here in Santa Rosa said that they had to order from them and took them 2 weeks to get and this is what I was told by Warrior;
[I]"They must've found one in their stock, we haven't had any of the old models here for months.
I don't have photography of the new ones. They don't look any different. The outer tube measures much shorter (maybe an inch or so long), and there is an additional gusset on the back side of the bracket.
If yours does not have the additional gusset on the back side, you're actually 2 revisions behind. If that is the case I can send you a new set. I am guessing that is the case if you're having vibration issues, as even the first revision didn't have any wobble issues."/I]
Sounds like I may have got a little run around from the local store.
