AS others have said the noise is a little loud and a little harsh when compared to the Wrangler GSA ( highway tire ) but not much diffrent from BFG KM2

I have about 8000 miles and they still look brand new !!!!

You will not be disappointed with them.....

Played in a muddy field and had to put Jeep in 2 wheel drive so I could slide around ( drifting) and throw mud ....... they dig/bite well !!

The M/T MTZ are a good tire.....great in the mud, sharp looking M/T tire and great in the mud....BUT

1) Loud on the Highway (Did Not Pass Wife Test)
2) Poor Tread wear for me 25,000miles (40,000km)

Its a mud tire, its going to be loud and wear fast. 25k from a mud tire is excellent.

Cool Dc Fc Ii

I went with the Dick Cepek FC IIs. They are an aggressive looking All Terrain, and I have heard that I can expect 40K out of them. Another M/T that came recommended were the ProComp M/Ts. Just my .02

They are great, I have about 17000 miles on them and still look new. My rig is daily driver. They are great in mud, little noisy but not bad. I heard to get about 35000 miles on them with proper rotation.

Default Bfg M/t

Thanks for all the feedback on the Mickey Thompson MTZ's. I've also been interested in BFG M/T however I can't find any information on the difference in tire tread between the two. Can anybody help?

excellent???? maybe for a super swamper

The only experience I have over the years are BFG Muds and Goodyear MTRs. All lasted well over 25k with proper pressure and rotations.

If your only criteria is aggressive looks, and high mileage tread life, the BFG MT's are hard to beat. I usually got 40-50K miles on them with my old jeep. The MTZ's are much better offroad so far, and handle wet and icy roads better. The compound is softer, so I doubt I will get 40K+ miles out of them.
