OME shocks are made by Monroe. The problem I have with this is I have never had a Monroe shock that didn't rust out after an Ohio winter. Their paint and finishing is absolutely garbage.

While I actually think the OME shocks are pretty good, I would choose another brand if you are around winter salted roads or you will be constantly repainting them. Personally, I don't think the Bilsteins are a bad shock, but they are valved a little stiffer than others. (Nowhere as bad as Fox though.)

The OME shock part numbers for 2.5" and 3.5" coils are 6066L and 6067L.

The OME part numbers are 60066L for the front and 60067L for the rear. If you choose to go with them. Contrary to popular belief they are not valved special for MC. MC uses regular OME shocks you can buy from Amazon.

To unbias my previous endorsement, this is true. I had them on my Jeep for two months and then pulled them when I changed my lift. I was pretty shocked at the condition. Lots of paint chips and everywhere there was a chip, there was rust. Hard to say what they'd look like after a year...

But, they ride great!

One other alternative are the Rancho XL9000. Those are said to be a great riding shock.

I would. You, like me, live in an area with little to no cold weather. I've not seen the chipping and rusting posted above, but again, I don't get up to Ohio much (ever).

I would agree about the 5100's, ride pretty stiff. I would disagree about the fox 2.0's though. Night and day better than my 5100's.

X2 on this.... What about Fox 2.0w/res 4in-6in lift with metal cloak 3.5 coils? Saw a member some pages back, sent a pm but no response yet. Anyone with inputs on this, thoughts, experience ?
