When they say you will need to address it at 3" or more of lift they don't mean what the kit says it will give you. They mean how much lift you actually get. Most 2.5" kits will net more than 2.5" of lift. If you take it off road you will absolutely have issues.

Case in point, my wife and I run the same lift on our Jeeps. She has a 2DR Sahara and I have a 4 DR Sport. The 2" lift netted her almost 3" and me a lowly 1.5" and now down to about 1" with my heavy bumpers and armor.
Now, MC, RK, and Teraflex should hold up the weight and stay true to their advertised lift height which is why lighter Jeeps get so much more.

Good thread going on but I'd like to see some pictures of either the 2.5 or 3.5 MK lift with the jeep sitting level. We all know the MK lifts are great at flexing around the trails but I'd like to get an idea of how the lift looks on the road

Filthy - would you mind measuring your net lift? I have the 2.5 MC springs and would like to compare cause I'm debating swapping springs to 3.5's.

Sure, I forgot to measure before lift, so where do you want me to measure? I have a heavy beast too, River raider - Oil, transfer case, trans and gas tank skids, Ace rockers, ACE rear tire carrier bumper, PSC fenders, front bumper with skid and Warn 9.5 cti.

On the front, can you take a measurement from the center of the bottom shock bolt to the bottom edge of the upper shock tower. A stock Jeep is 18 1/2. Here's a pic of what I'm saying. Thanks!
