Drop your tire pressure to 28. People seem to like the ome nitrochargers that metalcloak recommends.

The ome nitrochargers is what I am leaning to, but wanted to get others opinions before buying more shocks.

Anyone got an answer for this or should I just call them?

Go back a few pages, someone put up a nice comparison chart of various shock specs.

I have been running 5100's also, but just received a set of OME's that will be going on this week. Got them for $95 each, seems like a decent price. The Fox/BDS that metalcloak also recommends were about $124 each. (someone has to sell them cheaper, just didn't find any deals). Similar valving between them, so I figure I can just paint the ome's and come out way ahead. Some people like the Rancho 9000's. If the rebate is still going they come out to around $68 each, and they have that "try for 2 months" deal, so might be worth looking at I guess.

Will at MC said the OME shocks don't need the brackets. Said the Fox shocks are the ones having the issues of rubbing the frame.

I don't understand why that would be. I had my jeep flexed and the shocks were jammed up against the frame without even being at full flex. Maybe the plastic part of the upper shock has more give than the fox body? I don't know...I didn't like it.

I told him I was willing to buy them, but he said they weren't necessary so I'm taking him at his word I guess.

Doesn't hurt to try it without - they're easy to add later. Mine were mashed against it but maybe it's not enough to cause damage.

Here's the fox shocks (not my jeep)
