Got my GC ARB 2.5" lift installed. Netted 4" in the front and about 3 1/4" in the rear. Looks awesome but now I need bigger tires. Got it all aligned and a muffler shop moved the exhaust for $110. All that needs to be done now is to adjust the headlights.
I do have one issue though: the front sway bar disconnects. They are 12.25" long...why so long? It makes the sway bar clunk against the frame when I hit a speed bump. The rear ones are okay because the stock ones are about 9" long, so add in the height of the lift and 12.25" is fine. But the stock front sway bar connects are 5" long, add 4" for the lift and that is only 9"...why did they make them over 12"? Did I do something wrong here?
Did anybody else run across this? I have to take another look at them to see if I can thread them farther and cut them shorter. Or get shorter ones somewhere.

They only have 1 size for both the 3.5 and 2.5 kits. They are long on the 2.5. If by hitting the frame you mean the round crossmember that sticks out, you can cut that off with a sawzall.

That is exactly what it is hitting. It just looks like they are pushing the sway bar way high. What is the purpose of that? I mean, they have no off-road purpose...why do they even need to be that long?

The sway bar will likely rub the round crossmember. Cut off a little or grind it down and you will be good.
Do not use rear links up front. Bad advice!!

They don't need to be that long. I have mine adjusted all the way down and I'd say they are about 3" too long to make the sway bar level. At least you don't have to worry about the sway bar flipping around on you...lol Not uncommon to cut the excess crossmember off.

The links are supposed to be long. The reason is due to the amount of down travel. If they were shorter there is risk of the sway bar extending all the way down and rotating forward. On the 2.5" lifts, the long links will cause the sway bar to be angled upward (toward rear of Jeep).
The sway bar will likely rub the round crossmember. Cut off a little or grind it down and you will be good.
