Default Mesh/Soft Top over Just Driver and Passenger Area

Hi & Happy Halloween to everyone

I am a brand new owner of a Rubicon and I just can't wait to start adding stuff to him. I have been reading the forums, looking in the catalogs, etc... and can't seem to find an answer to my question. Here it is: I want to get a mesh and/or solid top for Mr. Peepers (my jeep). But, i want to be able to use it while the hard top is still on. This way, if it starts raining, etc... it will already be on & i don't have to scramble and put the hard pieces back up.

I have called 2 or 3 different online places & they all stated that I can't have one of those drivers only style tops on when the hard top is on?

Is this correct? Does anyone know if there is a top like that out there?

thanks so much for your help.

Do you know that you can put the front panels from the hard top back on after you take the rest off?

Welcome!

Look at the tops they have at spiderwebshade.com

spiderwebshade.com/products/jk4d/

This top will work with your hard top.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your help!

I have the spiderwebshade and you can't let him with the hard top cause the "L" clips on rear off fronts seats

Argh - so it can't go on with the hard top? Can you rig it somehow? Or clip that part somewhere else?

front section of the dirty dog works with soft top just have to undo the 2 snaps on the footmans loops

don't see why it would not work with hardtop but it would streatch it out

you would have to push up on the mesh and slide the 3 latches on the other side (it's velcro on the top of the soundbar)

all-in-all more work/time then just replacing the freedom panels

latches in question http://www .project-jk.com/images/writeups/freedomtop/DSC04219.jpg

trying to hold out on putting the hardtop on for as long as I can but I'll leave on the dirty dog and give it a shot if nobody has given a definitive answer on this one by then
