Default MBRP Spare Tire Relocation Bracket who runs them with 35" tires?

Hey guys, if you run MBRP spare tire relocation bracket, how long do you have it on and do you have any problem with the gate?
With my set up my wheels/tires are only 9lb heavier than the stock Rubi wheels/tires. So I think I should be ok, but want to confirm. Also any issues with the MBRP tire carrier and the third brake light? Will I need to get rid of the 3rd brake lite?

What's your back spacing on your new wheels?

I think you should be ok. You won't need to remove the light unless it's a 37" tire.

I ran a spacer with my 35's but it seemed to put more stress on my tailgate. But then I found out with 4.5" backspacing you don't need a spacer.

Did you try mounting it with out the spacer?

I used one for 6 months and I have 35 Toyo with stock wheels without any problem. I have rugger ridge bumper now so I am using a spacer only. What I heard from everyone that I should not go beyond year and it also depends of how much off roading you do.

I am not in a rush to get a carrier so I am going to use the stock one as long as I can

Is MBRP bracket really just pushing spare tire farther away from the gate? If that is the case I can see why this is a concern as weight is more out and brings more stress to the gate.
I wonder if there are relocate brackets that bring spare tire slightly up, but keep it close (if not the same as stock) to the gate.

No didn't try to put my new wheels/tires on the OEM spare tire mount, didn't even guessed that it can possibly fit without any brackets .

On my 2008 Sahara, I am upgrading from factory wheels and tires to 17" with Duratracs that are 35". They weigh about 19 pounds more than the OEM. These new wheels actually fit the tailgate and barely clear the bumper. My concern is the extra weight. 88 lbs is a lot to hang on there. May be OK for short run, but I wouldn't due serious off-roading. I have a new bumper and tire gate on order. My son's 2007 Sahara had the factory spare tire carried cracked clear across. The dealer told him it happens frequently. That is why I wouldn't run long with the stock spare tire mount. Believe it or not, the owner's manual says not to exceed 50 lbs. My stock spare alone is 69 lbs. Good luck!

There are two type. I used the one that pushing the tire farther and higher if you have stock bumper. You can also use Daystar Bump stop.

I used the bracket for 4 months and had to take my spare off. I'm running 295/70R18 Nitto Trail Grapplers which are about 30 lbs heavier than stock. They are on stock wheels. Anyway, after 3 months I heard a squeak, I took it off after not being able to support it any other way. I'll sell my bracket if someone wants it... its not doing me any good...

Edit.. I used teh daystar bumpstops and they didn't align very well with the tire.. overall waste of money.. I'm looking in to the AEV tire carrier now...
