Default MBRP Exhaust

Just installed the MBRP exhaust, no gain in MPG's... they advertise 1-2 MPG gain, now I just have a noisy exhaust that really did nothing for me! Anyone have any good results with this exhaust for MPG increase?

As a quick rundown, I have read everywhere that any significant gains are from the combination of exhaust + intake + tuner.

I put a 3 inch lift on a few months ago and lost about 3 mpg. I have changed the way i drive 90% of the time and I am back to 17.5-18 mpg.

2007 Unlimited with automatic and 33 BFG KM2's. After install about a month ago I have averaged 1.5 - 2.0 mpg improvement in all driving conditions ranging from trail riding to interstate travel. Very pleased with kit.

I have 33's w/3.73's and 6SPD, I was getting around 16.5 HWY stock, I was pretty much the same with the MBRP... actually got 16.3 and I was trying real hard to up the number on the HWY... Sounds like the Hypertech is the way to go... thanks!

So you are saying false advertisement!!!!! What is the best bang for the buck??? is there a best bang for the buck to help this thirsty little light vehicle, I mean they have so much damn platic on them today you would think they would get over 30 MPG's!!! lol. and I don't buy the aerodynamic crap... if that ugly assed Scion XB box can get such great mileage... what gives? This is my 4th Jeep (2 CJ 5's, 1 YJ and 2010 JK) and my Toyota Tacoma 4x4 with 4.5" of lift with 33's was getting 19.5 MPG stock!

I put 2k miles a month on my JK, a couple MPG's can save a good amount of coin at the end of the year... any ideas? thx, appreciate any help

more than likely you got really excited you had a new loud fun exhaust on and you have been more heavy on the the pedal than you realized......

At least thats what happened to me.....I installed my rancho relocate exhaust and even thought its loud and noisy I got a little to excited a red lights and lost some MPG at first

I would be hard pressed to say I spent that much money for the hopes of gaining 1mpg in a Jeep. Just saying. I would think the hopes of more horsepower would be the reason folks have gone with any company's cat back exhaust.

Just do the math, I put about 2K miles on a month, if I save 1-2 MPG with the exhaust... it pays for itself in 10-11 months! And I would save $21-25.00 per month (at around $2.75/gal) after that...
