Maxxis Creepy Crawler?
Hello fellow wheelers
I am looking at getting set of 37s. I really like the Maxxis CC but Im afraid of how many miles I can get out of it because it is Bias ply. Do you like your CCs? How many miles did you get out of them?
Thanks Mike
(disclaimer I googled it and I found a couple review but none on this forum)

Super soft compound and super expensive. Most people who run them have them on their dedicated rock buggies. Never herd of anyone run them on the street although I'm sure someone has. Good luck

With a bias ply tire, you'll see them wear in approx 60% of the time a radial would or that's been my experience with them. You'll get a flat spot every morning which should even out with a few miles of driving. Off road, bias tires can't be beat... they air down better and have thicker sidewalls.
A guy in my club bought some CCs for his buggy and junked them after a few trips... his opinion is they don't hook up well in the rocks. He's a KOH racer, so take that with a grain of salt, as his needs and your's may not coincide.
Their Trepador is a bit less expensive and in the comp compound, considered my many to be the best rock crawling tire available. That's the tire I'm running and find it to be the most amazing tire I've run so far, but have no prior experience with comp tires, so my opinion is only good comparing them to the MTR, KM2, old BFG MT, TSL, IROK (first three radial only, TSL in bias and radial, IROK bias only). The comparison is invalid though, as no one's going to run these on the pavement.

Keep in mind also that your road miles depend on how you use your tires off road. If you're out there burning up the tires on every rock you see then obviously they won't last as long as the guy who runs fire roads.
Point and case- my friend and I both had Mickey Claws. I got 36k miles out of mine, he got 15k on his. He would roast them on rocks just because he could.
15k miles was 4 years for him, 36k miles was a single year for me- hopefully you see that your experience will vary which is why people bandwagon with Nitto, toyo, goodyear, bfg, etc. They can then benchmark their life expectancy against others.
