I want these rims. I thought I'd ask owners of this old thread how they're holding up. I could get them clear coated before installing them, but I forsee the coating getting scratched off anyway.

Are these porous? is that the problem?

I'm in NY and this is my DD'er. Salt. I do NOT mind polishing often. And it's garaged (heated ) so I can clean and polish year round.

I have the Classic locks on my Liberty and I made the mistake of not taking care of them. They do need to be maintained but I love the wheel. I had one issue with one of the steel inserts coming out. My wheel loosened up and caused the insert to fall out. Emailed M/T tech support and they were nice enough to send me 3 of them. Little red lock tite and everything is good to go.

Eagle Alloy series 186. I've had them for over a year, never polished. They've seen their share of trails....

Actually, the wheel I saw in person that I fell in love with is not the Classic II, it's the Pro Comp 1069! I made a mistake. But look at the Classic II v the Pro Comp 1069 v Eagle Alloy 186. Can anyone point out the differences? maybe I'll start a separate thread:

Green is Pro Comp, Red is Eagle, Silver is Classic II, White is MB72

I should add that Summit has their own brand wheel whcih appears to be EXACTLY the same specs as the Pro Comp 1069. The others don't have 3.75" BS.
