I have a Sahara and I run the Auburn E-Locker in the rear and the Eaton E-Locker up front with a 30 spline axle, sleeves, and other things to build the Dana30 strength.

I love this set-up!

I assume you have an Auburn Ected in the rear axle. Make sure you are in the locked mode as much as possible. The gear design inside is very tough on axle shafts.

Do you mean...keep it locked as much as possible when offroading?

Yes the Ected is in the rear.

I was talking about having the locker engaged as much as possible. In the unlocked mode the axle is being twisted by about 9/16" of side gear engagement. In a high torque, unlocked, situation the Ected is known to strip the end off of the axle shaft.

Chock the front tires.
Put the transmission in neutral, parking brake off.
Jack up one rear tire.
Try to rotate the jacked up tire.
If it takes less than 30 ft/lbs to turn the tire, the LSD is worn out.
You will have to figure out how to check the torque, since I have no idea what you have for tools.

Do you know how long these typically last?

You're right, the outside tire needs to go faster to navigate a corner. A selectable locker shouldn't be engaged in street driving except in bad traction situations.
