Default Lower ball joint

I'm pressing in my new ball joints (crown) and the lower one seems to no be long enough. The snap ring groove is only barely showing on one part. Does it matter if the snap ring is on? The other side (stock ball joints doesn't have a snap ring and isn't even pressed in as far as these)

I have a Crown, and an OEM, for comparison. Both housings look the same, and should stick through the lower "C" the same amount. That makes me wonder if you have the correct Crown ball joint for the JK.
