Agree 100%. I've had an 8 ball shifter knob since 2007. It's perfect and for some reason doesn't get slippery with sweat.
I drilled mine and just pushed it on. It's a friction fit and hasn't ever moved.

Did some el chepo mods:
-6 ball shifter knob. Bought it at some creepy pool hall on the bad side of town for $4.25. Drilled it out with a 5/8 drill bit. The hole was a little big so I had to pad it a bit for a tight fit and then I threw some glue in there for good measure. I love it, fits perfect in my hand.
-whew! Sorry long post!

Here's a cheap storage solution (cheaper)
I picked up a deezee truck storage box for 130$ chucked the back seat ( never used it anyway) and bolted it down using the seat latches with some u-

bolts
I lined it with carpet to cut down on the noise, and bolted a storage rack/panel with interchangeable hooks and baskets.

I couldn't be happier with it. I installed some LEDs inside and I have a gas strut installed as well to keep it open. I also ordered a rack for the top with I-hooks for strapping bags and stuff to the box while the top is down.

A 100 pages .......
Great Thread ---
Just finished reading the 100 pages in this thread, got several pages of notes and a file full of photo's/ideas for my 07. Got a question - is there a fix for the air leaks on the 2 doors, anything over 60mph sounds like there's a tunnel on both sides of the doors buy the windshield.
