The way I did it was very easy and took zero pulling. Put a towel over the knob and then tighten an adjustable wrench underneath so that it's just too loose to hold on to the shaft. Hit the wrench with a rubber mallet and the knob will come off in the towel instead of flying around in your Jeep.

Yeah, I'm really happy I did it. It's obviously not as cool as replacement options but it sure is a cheap way to significantly improve the look of your older JK! Mine is an '07.

I read somewhere that a heat gun will restore the color on faded flares.

Makes sense, most likely releases mor wax out of the plastic. Still I'd try it out on the underside first...

I used a heat gun to pop a dent in the fender and it brought the color back nicely in that spot. I am looking forward to doing a whole fender and seeing how long it stays

Looked all over for the mag light mounts and finally picked them up at Bass Pro Shops!? Check them out if you have one near you!

Now to figure out exactly where I want it???
