I got them off of Amazon. And taking them off wasn't that bad. Just separate the lower silver piece and then I took a strap wrench to loosen them up and pulled them straight up. Wasn't too bad to get them off.

I like your shift knobs. I just took mine off and had no problem with the transfer case. I used vice grips below the knob and a hammer to tap it off. The shift knob was a different story. I tried every technique listed but that MF'er was welded on. I ended up using a saw to cut the knob into pieces. I made a ridiculous mess of plastic, blood and chipped paint but I got that SOB off! I don't recommend my method.

When you pull it out doesn't it interfere with the steering wheel? I wouldn't want any interference wherever in case it needs to be pulled quickly

I had the same problem so I attached a .50 caliber to the roof for those situations.
