Yeah been toying with this mod for a while. I'd like to do the little cowl pieces also, like yours.
I did blacked out the chrome on my WK though.

The WK looks good and I probably would have done the same thing. Mmmhmmm.
I couldn't decide for a while to paint the grill but started to dislike the blackout rings I put around the headlights and blinkers. Made my decision a lot easier. But either way, your rig looks great and you can't go wrong with the cowl covers. Then again, some people like dimples!
Oh and I removed the factory steps on my JK this evening. I never use them, unnecessary weight and it almost visually appears taller now. Ha! I'll paint the pinch seam until I can find some sliders on the cheap.

Thanks. Mine are drying as we speak.
I don't think I've seen this in this thread. If so I apologize.
I saw these for sale somewhere and they wanted like 12-15 dollars. I have buckets of brass that I reload so this was a quick 5 minutes of work. And cost me nothing. Just five 40 caliber rounds and some super glue and the black valve caps and presto:

I have done cig lighters with 12 gauge shells the same way. I cut the OE lighter down a bit to get the shell on and then glue it, I then polish it up a coat it with a thin coat of poly.

I added a Mountek nGroove Universal CD Slot Mount for my Iphone this weekend. Nothing major, but pretty cool if you use your Iphone for music and do not have bluetooth. I'll post a pic later...
