I painted mine 3 months off the lot. It had a small amount of rust in the front. I used a rust product From Napa Auto just for this purpose. I have some under body spray but I think it would be an over kill at this point.

Where and what to spray? Is there anything that should be masked off? (Brakes etc. )

I go thru about 5 cans of flat black rustoleum every year on pretty much everything under the jeep except the shocks, exhaust, muffler, fender liners and sway bar disconnects.

I sent this pic to my girlfriend last night and asked, identify these parts. Her reply: I don't know what that is!

Aside from being dirty, there is very little visible rust on my Michigan 07, except maybe on the calipers, which are hard to paint without removing the wheel.

I usually spray everything from axles to skid plates without taping anything off. I do it just about every trip I make with the rig after I clean it when I get back. I touch up and rust spots or gashes in the skids.
