Alternate solution:
$90 Rugged Ridge quick detach mirrors + $20 mirror hole plug.

I run these mirror permanently. Nope, i can't see sh!t but they sure do look good! LOL

I am doing the mag lite mod on my 2012 2 door and cant decide where to put the clips on my seat... Do you mount it to the rail or the plastic trim piece? I know the write up was on the rail but the rail on the seat is different. I wouldn't think that mounting it to the plastic would hold very well...
