I'm not sure, I'm looking to do the same! This is someone else's mod that they were showing! I don't think it's been said though!

I think the shackle is just captured under the tow hook.

He welded a threaded stud to the top of the tow hook, so once the shackle it on, it might not come off because of the height of the stud. That said, with the High Lift on top of the tow hook, that shackle isn't going to come of. I'd expect it will be bouncing around, but it isn't coming off.. Just my $0.02

Default Introducing the Ultra-Low-Budget Camera Mounting System

I added this uber-cheap camera mount to my rig the day before a beach run. It worked pretty well with my digital camera (shown). I have not tried it with my digital video camera yet, but I suspect it will work fine. I'll probably do a 2.0 version with black Velcro because I don't like having that white Velcro sticking out like a sore thumb. But hey, the price was right. Since I had the Velcro lying around it cost me $0

The shackle is on the tow hook but without any welding. The hi-lift prevents it to come off and doesn't rattle either. If I unmount the hi-lift the shackle comes off

I'll take more pictures with and without the jack and post them as soon as I can

Homemade quick discos for those of us with out rubis https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ick+disconnect

And how to hold them up once disco'd

Bedlined grill
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...=Bedline+grill i also painted my jeep letters shiny black to match my black paint.... the shiny jeep, dull grill, shiny emblem contrast looks nice.

Then I did the grill insert mod with plastic gutter guard
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/arch...p/t-37068.html

I installed a cb for 110 total. Somewhat cheap, very important mod. Especially if you wheel with friends.

Sorry if I reposted some. I'll post pics later due to being out of town and away from the jeep.

I like painted stock wheels. How are they holding up to wear?

Just take em off and spray em. I didn't take off the side markers, just taped around them and covered the vulnerable parts of my jeep with a sheet to catch the over spray.

I know this sounds stupid but do you spray the inside or outside? Obviously you did the outside of the markerlights but what about everything else

Outside on everything. There are no stupid questions!
Anyway, just a couple coats of VHT nightshade (from auto parts store), let dry, and you're good to go. Don't go too dark, u want the lights to show through when they are on. I did my side markers very very dark cause IMO they don't serve a purpose

Better pic of side marker
