Low-cost / Free mods that should be done?

I take my doors off frequently and removing the straps from the hooks was always a minor annoyance. I removed the hooks and lopped off most of the "fish hook" with a grinder and a cutoff wheel. They were getting rusty, so I sanded and painted them while they were off.
I left a little nub of the fish hook in place, which keeps the strap from sliding off inadvertently, but now they're much easier to remove. The hook on the left is the modified one, the one on the right is stock.

A little center console upgrade so I wouldn't have to fish around for my flashlight or pen.

I find that if you drape the battered and beaten body of a thief over your spare tire you can leave just about anything unlocked and in plain sight and nobody bothers with it. : )
I've never locked my rig or had anything stolen but I realize it could happen. That would suck.
