I literally just pulled off stock knob. Drilled a hole in bottom of beer tap and slammed it on shifter. Done

The problem with those antenna is that they have a plastic base. I went thru several of them on my Firebird before i simply gave up. The rubber antenna itself will flex, but the hard plastic base will break. Forget to remove it once before you go thru the drive thru carwash and its toast. Parking brake broke last week. (Manual trans)
Ordered new unit $60
Installed in 15 minutes.
Now if i could just find the 4 bolts that secure the console to the body, i'll be good to go. Oh well who needs em!
Left the condom on the handle just for safety. LOL

I just cut my stock one down. I put a metal bead from my wife's necklace kit on the tip to mimic the stock tip, then painted the thing with that rubber spray stuff.

Nicely done but you could have pulled the factory ball off its just pressure fitted on there.
