Ended up with a clean, functional, and tight set up. Rattle free
Right on. It looks really good, I think Ima have to do this.

Looks like he found some straps and used self tapping screws to put the housing in place?

been thinking about doing this for a little while. I was worried tat the self tapping screws into the tailgate would be too flimsy to hold things secure. I'd like to know the material list used too

Hey Guys,

I've got some threaded inserts that do not require any special tools to install. They would work great for holding these parts to the tailgate. I sell Quick Fists too. I should put a kit together.

Here's a vid of how we use these to install the tailgate holder kit (if it doesn't skip to the right place, go to 2 minutes 50 seconds to see the install);

K, here's the deal. I only have 1/4" threaded inserts and they will not work for Quick Fists. I think that I can get them in a 10-32, but will need to check next week.

You'll need what I call an installation tool. This is a long hex head machine screw, a washer and a nut.

I should be able to sell these: 4 threaded inserts for $5.75, plus $1 for the install tool plus shipping.

Slow mail shipping in the USA would be $5 or $8 to Canada. Expedited shipping would be an additional $5 USA and $9 for Canada.

Now the problem is I am required to buy very large quantities of these things. I'd have to see some serious interest to make it happen.

-Hung first tool to make sure next would puzzle in nicely.
-Mounted next tool, same process.
-1 set of small quick fists, $12. 2 shovel/garden tool wall mount brackets $4, Mag-lite brand brackets for mag $10, fire extinguisher ---came with mounting-chemical auto specific full/re-fillable extinguisher $35 on ebay, (other colors avlbl) Used self tappers for this as well.
-Self tapping screws $3.
End result was a nice very tight rattle free set up that's convenient and easy to use. Good luck and enjoy!
