Exactly... I had mine plasti-dipped. The color underneath was showing through in several spots. Rather than continuous touch ups I peeled it off. Now that I know I like it black I may bed line it.

I did mine a few weeks ago and have had no problems, bugs spray or sponge right off.
You just need to do 3 or 4 coats

I did do 4 coats, but up here there put sand and gravel on the roads in the winter and it wreaks havoc on windshields and grills. Also long highway trips I had to use the foam brush at the car wash to get the bugs off because there were just too many. The brush nicked the coating in several places.

These latest low-cost mods are keeping me busy! Just finished meshing the grille, modifying the side marker light and dressing up the AC vents...

Trailmod removable fenders. The inners look sweet. I believe Dozercon is running them.
