Some things are not meant to be DUI. This is one of them.

I agree, if you are looking for a cheaper option than a winch, use a hi-lift, a tree saver and a QUALITY strap with loops. Not the cheap shit with the metal hooks that kill people

Boy, they are "proud of those" = $$

Great idea for when you are wheeling alone (which we all know is a bad idea) and there is nothing to attach your winch cable to like in the desert or on the beach.

I would, like some have said on this topic allready, be careful if you are going to rig one up. Lots of things can go bad when using a winch, and stay away for using chains and hooks.

You're assuming that the company has actually done the analysis required to ensure that the design has a sufficient safety factor for all forseeable uses. I suspect that is probably not the case and it is a very small company or individual that came up with a cool idea that is produced on a very small scale. Seems like you could come up with a design that uses an adequate size and grade of steel and fasteners and it would be just as safe. Just my .02

I was just thinking, (can you smell the smoke) what about a Danforth anchor ?

It would plow in soft ground and give you that little extra pull to get out of alot of situations (if you're not buried up to axles).

It took longer for the glue to dry and run the wires than it did cutting up the bracket. Made a plug for the hole in the back where the plate holder used to be.

Yes, bolted it directly to the wheel center cap, drilled a small hole on the side for the wires and ran through the wheel.
