My set up of KMC Addicts and 285/70/17 Duratracs weigh in less than the stock Rubicon tires/ wheels,....so Im not concerned about damaging tailgate.

Same here, but I haven't even popped a spot weld. I've rock crawled and everything.

...but like somebody already said, every tire and wheel combo is different.
